The local unit of the Yuvajana Sakhyam is referred to as 'Sakha Sakhyam'. The membership of the Sakha Sakhyam is open to all who have completed 12 years of age and are less than 35 years of age. However, 25% of the Sakha Sakhyam members can be above 35 years of age.
Registration Process:
The preliminary list of the members including their name, address, date of birth, age and gender should be prepared by the Sakha President (the vicar) with help of the secretary and published in the parish before 15th of December.
If there is any complaint about the list, that should be given in writing to the vicar within 8 days after the publication of the preliminary list.
Then the Vicar should publish the revised list in the parish and if there is any compliant (about the list), it should be given to the Diocesan Bishop within 10 days after the publication of the new list. And the decision of the Bishop will be the final.
The list that completes the above processes will be the final Membership list of the Sakha. One copy of the final list should be given to the Yuvajana Sakhyam office with Rs 50 as registration fees and Rs 3 as membership fees (per head) before 1st of March every year.
